(Close downtown location, more knowledgeable staff and lower cost than elsewhere in Charleston.)Went to Computer Repair Doctor for a weird screen flickering issue, 20 hours trying to diagnose myself but had given up. Jonathan did an amazing job- found it was hardware, fixed the issue, and I got my laptop back the same day!Once they handled that for me, I figured I would ask him on costs for my iphone 11 cracked screen replacement (been meaning to do, but I had been told $400 and up, so I waited) Best I've heard- $210, and I tried We Fix It, CPR, Staymobile for quotes.Will be returning for my cell repair later this week!

Computer Repair Doctor on King Street in Charleston offers a great resource for all things computer repair and comes with good fixes and customer service when you are some help. I have been impressed with everything that they have been able to do and it is good to know there is someone that you can go to for professional computer assistance.

Brought my laptop in late in the day and was helped immediately. Instead of trying to push services on me, Philip and his coworker ran diagnostic tests and figured out the issue which turned out to be a very minor replacement on my part. Johnathan was fantastic. I thought my phone and all 38,000 precious photos were gone. Verizon nor Apple could help me, but Johnathan saved the day! When he repaired my phone screen and I could access all of those memories I nearly cried and gave him a big hug. It was done very quickly and was very affordable. $129 is a small price to pay for what I would’ve lost otherwise. Can’t recommend them enough. I hope never have to go back to them but I know if I do have a problem I will go to them first!

After dropping my phone dozens of times, the screen finally cracked. That crack splintered into several others across the screen. I left my phone with Philip and after an hour he returned it as good as new! The screen was completely repaired and very clean. He was friendly and patient and provided excellent customer service. Jonathan was fantastic! He first diagnosed my 2011 iMac and determined that it wasn’t worth repairing (at no charge!) and then was able to backup my old hard drive so that I lost no files. I recommend him and the business wholeheartedly!

Brought in a Samsung Galaxy S8 on a Tuesday that I had completely shattered from leaving it on top of my car and driving off. Phillip said he could order a new screen, replace the back glass, and have it ready on Thursday. When I picked it up, it looked fantastic! You wouldn't be able to tell that I ever dropped it. The price was everything we discussed when I dropped it off. Everything about my experience with Computer Repair Doctor and Philip was awesome!

Phillip provided great insight and customer service! He seems to be a technology oriented guy and you can tell he's knowledgeable about IT beyond a screen repair itself.I just got my phone back this afternoon, with the repair consisting of the front screen and camera protection glass. The repair only took about 45 minutes and the price was very fair.I would highly recommend the Computer Repair Doctor for their iPhone repair services.

Phillip was amazing!! He was able to get my home button and battery replaced so fast. I was able to walk down King Street and shop for a bit and come right back!! It works perfectly! THE COMPUTER REPAIR DOCTOR WILL FIX THE TROUBLESOME CHARGE PORT ON YOUR IPHONE/SMARTPHONE! Phillip was referred to me by my girlfriend. She went there to have the screen and charge port replaced on her iPhone 7. When she came back she was ecstatic with what a wonderful job he had done! When she told me he was able to fix her charge port without replacing it, I got excited. I went in a week later and Phillip examined my charge port- it had been acting finicky for months. He was able to quickly clean it out and now it works great! My iPhone SE is as good as new! I highly recommend “the doctor” and I would trust him with any of computers or smart devices. Great location too!

Fabulous service. I am very pleased. Dropped off laptop thinking serious repair (motherboard issues, etc.). They checked it out at no cost (free estimates!) and found, hey, only a defective AC power cord. Whew! As Zoe, the manager said, "no repair, no charge." I got my machine back at no cost. I am tickled. As a result, I will bring in a scrambled drive to see about salvaging files. Thanks again.

This place is wonderful. Zoe the store manager and Phillip were quick with the diagnostic of my malfunctioning laptop and thoroughly explained the issues. The lasting impression I received was of a staff who truly cares about quality work and quality customer service, which is hard to find nowadays. They go above and beyond, no doubt. I highly recommend them to college students nearby and those who need future repair work. The diagnostics are completely free so you have nothing to lose even if you choose not to repair the device in question.

Thanks to Conner's honesty, I found out that the screen was not damaged, but the overlay cover was the problem. It would have been so easy to take my phone, remove the cover, and charge me for a replacement screen. Won't go anywhere else!

I am so grateful for Zoe at Computer Repair Doctor. I had water damage to my MacBook during a very busy and stressful time at work. Prior to coming to CRD I went by the Mac store. Within 5 minutes of my time there they were quick to discourage me from fixing it and wanted to sell me a brand new computer. I felt so frustrated and defeated. This place is awesome. Right downtown and near a parking garage if you need it. The staff worked with me to try and find the right part in order to repair my laptop. Sadly, we got pulled around by a third party vendor who wouldn't send the right part. I want charged for the time they held onto my PC and they communicated with me each step of the way. I will definitely be bringing my computer back if it has any more issues. Special thanks to Phillip and Zoey for working with me to try and fix my issue. I know it was a real pain trying to get the right part. Keep up the good work.

From cracked cell phone screens to dropped external hard drives, they have helped me so much. This time we couldn’t recover data from my external hard drive because of the accidental damage that I caused but they thoroughly explained the problem and offered me a referral to a specialist that can repair the hardware. Have to fix a cracked phone screen? This is the place to do it! I shattered my screen and my battery was really weak, so I got two repairs done at once. Philip was super helpful, polite, and got the job done fast and professionally. My phone looks brand new and the battery life is phenomenally. These guys did an excellent and speedy job repairing my son's cracked iPhone screen. They also noticed that my son's old lithium battery was reaching the end of its life and needed to be replaced. It's a good thing they did. The battery literally exploded as they were removing it (old lithium batteries can do that if they have undetectable leaks or fissures). The repairman greeted me with a bandaged hand and a smile (I felt so bad that happened to him!). My son is thrilled with his "new" phone. We'll be back. I highly endorse this company. It's located in a hidden courtyard tucked at the end of a long, narrow hallway, with signage on King Street. There's a parking garage just around the block if you can't find a spot. We used to take our cracked screens to a place further up King Street, but Computer Repair Doctor offers much faster service for the same price. Thanks.

Matt Norman did an exceptional and crazy good repair job on my wife’s Iphone 6S. The screen was horribly cracked and we expected the worst. Dropped off just after 10:30am and by 11:00am it was ready to go. Looks and operates like the day she got it.
