The biggest difficulty with replacing the screen on a Samsung Galaxy is that the glass comes factory adhered to the LCD. That means, even if you crack the glass, the entire LCD assembly will need to be replaced to get the same OEM quality as your original screen. Now don’t get us wrong, it is possible to replace just the glass. Some of our competitors may offer this service, and we’ve offered this service in the past. Using special equipment and care, you can remove the glass without damaging the LCD, and then secure the new glass to the screen using LOCA (Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive) or double sided adhesive (tape). However, we’ve learned from experience that performing this process in a repair shop (instead of the factory), significantly increases the changes either that something will go wrong with the repair, or the end result will be of lesser quality than an original replacement screen.
Because of this, we only replace the entire LCD assembly for Galaxy screens.
