FAQ Category: Mac Repair
What happens if you can’t fix it?
If we can’t fix it, you don’t pay. It’s that simple!
Do you have the parts needed?
We stock all types of parts, which is easier for Macbooks and iMacs since there are fewer models to account for. That aside, if we don’t have the part necessary to complete your repair, they typically arrive in 24-48 hours so you shouldn’t need to wait long!
Are you Apple certified technicians?
We are not – but don’t back out now! That’s a good thing. If we were “Apple certified” we would be forced to charge you much higher prices – and maybe give slower turnaround. As it is now we buy the same screens as them, just directly from the sources so we can offer better…
Should I repair my old mac or get a new one?
This is a question that we get a lot, no matter the brand of the computer. Age, wear & tear, frequency of use, and the cost to repair are all important, in addition to what model of Mac you have so it’s hard to give a clear answer! Our techs can talk to you about…
Do I need to backup my data before coming in?
It’s ALWAYS a good idea to backup your data before a repair (and we suggest you do). Even Apple advises backing up your data before any repair. However, it’s extremely unlikely you’ll lose any data during the repair.
Do you guarantee your work?
Absolutely. We offer 90 day warranties on all of our standard repairs (if we have to buy custom parts, those parts may have a different warranty period). If anything goes wrong after 90 days, it’s unlikely to be due to our repair but you’re welcome to bring it by anyway. We’re usually able to help,…
Give me worst case scenario – What happens if you break my device?
We’ll take care of you, pure and simple. If any of our technicians break something during the repair, we’ll take complete responsibility and fix the problem or buy you a replacement device.
Do I need an appointment?
Nope! Stop by anytime we’re open!
